March 17, 2008: Recruitment postings go online through the AmeriCorps website.
June 6, 2008: Application Deadline. Any candidate must have submitted his or her application electronically. Affiliate should notify HFH-MN about candidates they are considering.
June 20, 2008: Final candidate selected, and all VISTA enrollment paperwork must be submitted to the HFH-MN office, see the Recruitment Checklist.
August 4-7, 2008: VISTA attends Pre-Service Orientation in Minneapolis.
August 8, 2008: Official start date for the VISTA.

Enrollment Forms

• Applicant Instructions - Supervisors, this guide will be helfpul for any candidates who want to apply online through the AmeriCorps website. Feel free to share.
• Proof of Citizenship form
• Sponsor Evaluation form - Supervisors please fill this form out during the interview and send it along to HFH-MN with the remaining application for processing.
• PSO Registration form
• Designation or waiver of Life insurance
• Member benefits election form
• What to Know Letter - Supervisors please go through this form with your selected VISTA and send along with the remaining application for processing.

• HFH VISTA In Service Training FUNDS - As part of the program budget, each VISTA member is allotted $150 of in-service training funds.  These funds can be used to pay for trainings, conferences, workshops or classes that offer skill-building opportunities related to the VISTA member’s service activities.

• End of Term PPR form - Supervisors and VISTAs, this final PPR will be due to the HFH-MN office prior to your end of service. To successfully complete the term of service, this form must be completed and submitted to the HFH-MN office.
