HABITAT MINNESOTA TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

Habitat Minnesota formally launched its Training and Technical Assistance Program in 2006, after HFHI endorsed State Support Organizations to take the lead on affiliate training. Each year, Minnesota HFH affiliates identify areas they most need training, including topics such as family selection and support, financial management, board training and development, construction, and fund development. In response, Habitat Minnesota provides training annually through a statewide conference and several one-day mini-conferences, in addition to one-on-one training with affiliate staff and volunteers.

All training is designed to improve the organizational effectiveness of the Habitat Affiliates. We at Habitat Minnesota feel strongly that through improved organizational effectiveness, Habitat affiliates will be able to better accomplish their goal of eliminating poverty housing.
